ABSTRACT: This study examined the impact of early childhood education on later entrepreneurial skills. The objectives were to: (1) evaluate the influence of early education on risk-taking and innovation, (2) assess the role of early learning environments in fostering entrepreneurial thinking, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of early childhood education on entrepreneurial success. A survey design was chosen to collect data from entrepreneurs and educators about their early educational experiences and entrepreneurial skills. A sample size of 150 entrepreneurs and educators was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in business communities in Lagos State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that early childhood education significantly influenced the development of risk-taking and innovative thinking, which are crucial for entrepreneurial success. Early learning environments that encouraged creativity and problem-solving were found to foster entrepreneurial thinking. It was recommended that early childhood education programs incorporate activities that promote entrepreneurial skills and that educators be trained to support the development of these skills in young children.
